Mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water, so be sure to adhere
to the following advice to help control the mosquito population in your
neighborhood:
- Keep door and window screens in good repair.
- Consider the use of a repellent product such as
OFF or Cutter’s. Read label carefully and use as directed. Consult a
pediatrician for use on children.
- Empty standing water containers in your yard.
- Dispose of cans and other debris that may catch
water.
- Clean clogged roof gutters.
- Turn over plastic wading pools when not in use.
- Store wheelbarrows indoors.
- Keep swimming pools clean and chlorinated season
long.
- Eliminate standing water where possible.
- Use sprays and foggers with care and according to
manufacturer’s instructions.
