The Town Clerk’s Office takes pride in delivering unsurpassed customer service to the public. The Town Clerk’s Office is the record keeper for the town and is heavily regulated by State Statute. This office is responsible for certifying elections, recording land records and maps, filing and issuing vital statistics and issuing dog licenses, fish and game licenses and other various licenses.
The Clerk’s Office also provides customer service to the citizens of Windsor by answering the main telephone line, providing information and notary services. |
Veteran’s Discharges
To receive a veteran’s exemption on the assessed value of your real or personal property, you must file with the Town Clerk’s Office your original DD-214 certificate or a certified copy of the DD-214 that was filed with another town. DD-214s must be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office prior to October 1st to receive a tax exemption for the following year. To be eligible to receive the tax exemption you must have served during an active war period and received an honorable discharge.
