Proper Driveway Repair Procedures

Summer has arrived and with it comes driveway paving season. The Town of Windsor requires any contractor doing excavations in the Town Right of Way to obtain a license and permit from the Engineering Dept. This includes installing a new driveway. Unfortunately, some contractors try to avoid this process. They may offer a price that seems “too good to be true”. In some cases it is, and the quality of materials and workmanship is well below average. The best way to ensure that a contractor will do a good job is to check with this office and see if they are licensed by the Town of Windsor. You may also call CT Dept. of Consumer Protection for a history of complaints and information on illegal paving companies in the area. Be sure to investigate your contractor thoroughly before work begins and you make any payments.
