It is proposed to install 2 new bus shelters and replace 2 existing but deteriorated bus shelters at the following locations:

Lamberton Road at Day Hill Road:

Install a new bus shelter and connecting walks to accommodate staff and visitors to the Day Hill Corporate area and the adjacent hotels.

Kennedy Road at Stop & Shop:

Install a new bus shelter and connecting walks to accommodate employees and shoppers at the shopping area.

Windsor Avenue at Laurel Avenue:

Replace an existing bus shelter.

Windsor Avenue at Scarborough Road:

Replace an existing bus shelter.
Start Date : July 2006
Completion Date : August 2006
Cost : $55,000 ($44,000 is reimbursable from the Greater Hartford Transit
District)
Comments : The contract for the construction of the concrete pads and adjoining sidewalks was awarded to Lombardo Brothers Construction, Bloomfield, and the contract for the installation of the bus shelters was awarded to Pelton Excavating, Inc. The Town purchased the bus shelters.
