It is proposed to replace the existing 7’ x 10’ metal culvert carrying Meadow Brook under White Rock Drive with 2-9’ x 7’ reinforced concrete box culverts. This project was initiated to reduce the possibility of flooding in this area. Significant flooding occurred during October 2005. In addition to the culvert being replaced, work includes footings, relocation of an 8” sanitary line, guide railing, pavement restoration and other related work.

The contract for the replacement of the culvert was awarded to Old Colony Construction of Westbrook, CT. The Metropolitan District Commission will inspect and tie-in the water line.
