Drivers (Part-Time)

The Town of Windsor seeks part-time bus drivers to transport senior citizens and people with disabilities in a variety of Town vehicles to and from appointments. Valid CT Public Service License or CDL required. 19-22 hrs/wk, flexible schedule. $10-11/hr. DOE. Lifeguards

Windsor Recreation Services is seeking seasonal lifeguards. The lifeguard will provide aquatic instruction in classes and programs based upon the guidelines and standard operating procedures set by the American Red Cross. Duties may include possible phone usage (talking/listening), greeting participants, verbal class instruction and equipment/pool setup. Requirements: Lifeguard certification/WSI preferred; previous aquatics program teaching experience; and, current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain. Maintenance Assistants (Seasonal)

The Town of Windsor is looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals to assist town crews in the upkeep and maintenance of Town buildings, parks and roadways. Position runs now through early spring and pays $12.00/hour DOE. Normal hours of work are 7AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Possible evening/weekend hours. Duties: assists in paving, patching streets, removing snow and painting. Must have basic knowledge of the principles of building and grounds maintenance, basic skill in operating hand tools and small machinery and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures. HS Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license plus relevant work experience. Library Clerk (Part-Time)

The Wilson Branch Library is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible individual to perform lending desk duties and light reference work. Requires strong communication and customer service skills. 8 hours/week: Wednesday 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM and Friday 1:00 - 5:30 PM, one Saturday per month plus substitution. Starting rate: $9-$11/hr DOQ.

Tax Collection Aide (Part-Time)

The Town of Windsor seeks an enthusiastic, positive individual to work part-time in the Tax Office. Duties include but are not limited to receiving, counting, balancing and reporting cash for payment of taxes; operating a computer and adding machine; and typing notices and correspondence. Prospective candidate will also assist customers at the counter and by telephone. Must have a HS diploma; and, at least one year of experience as a teller or cashier is preferred. Ability to learn tax laws, regulations and procedures, and ability to deal with the public is required. Hours are M-F, 10:00 am to 2:30/3:00 pm (fall and spring months) and full-time, M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (summer months). Salary is $8.45-$12.15 per hour, depending on experience.
