Field Reviews of Residential Properties Being Conducted in November
As part of the current town-wide revaluation, two employees of Vision Appraisal, the Town of Windsor's revaluation vendor, are conducting a field review of all residential properties. The field review is a step in the revaluation process that checks the accuracy of the property cards the town has on record. They are viewing properties from the street unless there is something that they need to check out more thoroughly such as items not currently listed on a property card or if the reviewer has an obstructed view of an addition on a house. The vehicles used by Vision Appraisal are marked with signs on both sides of their cars and staff members are carrying identification badges and a letter explaining what they are doing. For more information contact the Windsor Assessor's Office at 860-285-1816.

Multi-Year, Town-Wide Athletic Field Master Plan Complete
The Town of Windsor recently completed an athletic field master plan. The master plan process began in January 2013. The town hired SLAM Collaborative to gather input from numerous sports organizations and field users, and to assess the existing, town-owned, outdoor recreation facilities and athletic fields, and other town-owned parcels that may potentially be developed for future recreational use.
The master plan lays out a strategy for improving playing fields and athletic facilities, as funds become available. It also details recommendations for potential improvements to how the fields might be maintained, programmed and enhanced.
The Town Council's Special Projects Committee will meet in the near future to begin discussing the plan and ways it could be implemented.
