In January, 2002, Mayor Donald Trinks and the Windsor Town
Council appointed five Windsor citizens to the Landfill
Steering Committee. These community volunteers have been given
the following charge: "to deliver a proposed land use
plan for the 173 acres that comprise the Windsor-Bloomfield
Landfill to the Town Council by May 1, 2002."
As always, citizen participation will play an important
role in the development of this plan. The following links
provide background information as well as opportunities for
all Windsor residents to offer their opinions on the re-use of
the landfill, in an effort to realize the best outcome for the
