Lang Road Reconstruction


Location: Lang Road

Phase 1:

The Lang road reconstruction project is proposed in order to eliminate pedestrian and bicycle safety concerns, improve handicap accessibility, and improve drainage and aesthetics.  This work will include installing sidewalks and brick on the west side of Lang road from Pheasant Run to Northwest Park, reconstructing the road to 30’ in width with 5’ bicycle lanes, improving the drainage, erecting decorative street lights, and landscaping disturbed areas.

Completion Date : September 2009
Cost : $463,880
Comments : This contract (phase 1) has been awarded to Paramount Construction of Newington Connecticut. The next stage of this work (Phase 2) includes the continuation of sidewalks, drainage, landscaping, and total road reconstruction from Pheasant Run to Prospect Hill Road. This project is tentatively scheduled for the 2010 construction season, March though October.
