Windsor Veteran's Day Observance

The Town of Windsor's Holiday Observance Committee has announced that the annual Veteran's Day Observance will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Windsor Town Hall located at 275 Broad Street. The public is welcome to attend.
This year's speaker is Windsor resident Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Nugent. LTC Nugent last served as the Regimental Operations Officer at the 169th Regional Training Institute at Camp Niantic, in Niantic Connecticut. In that capacity he coordinated and implemented the Commander's strategic operational and training goals. Developed and implemented orders and policies to provide quality assurance for all schools and courses conducted by the Regiment.
He is a combat veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the Security Directorate, and Joint Area Support Group Baghdad from September 2004 to October 2005.
LTC Nugent is an Active Guard Officer currently attending the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle, PA. He is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post 4740 in Windsor and a Realtor at Century 21, Wm. R Smith Realty. LTC Robert Nugent resides in Windsor with wife Cecilia and their two sons Julian and Nathan. Both children are students at the Windsor High School.
