It is the mission of Windsor Instructional Basketball League to provide and promote a safe, recreational basketball program for the youth of Windsor.  WIBL encourages good sportsmanship, developing strong playing skills, and promoting friendly relationships among the players, coaches, referees and parents.

For several years the Windsor Instructional Basketball League has been providing an excellent opportunity for Windsor boys and girls to learn about and enjoy the wonderful game of basketball. Over the years, the league has continued to grow and serves hundreds of boys and girls, ranging in grades from second through high school. The league strives to maintain as its primary goal, to provide a fun, safe, recreational environment to play basketball.

Windsor Instructional Basketball League is seeking Volunteer coaches. Volunteer coaches make the WIBL program possible. We are currently in need of coaches, both beginner and experienced, for our recreational league. All volunteers must fill out a criminal background check consent form. The first step, assembling the WIBL programs starts with you as a coach.  The start of a successful program is training.  Training dates and times will follow.  The league runs from January through March with clinics in the month of December. If you’re not sure about head coaching a team, assistant coaching can be arranged. Volunteering is fun and rewarding! Come to the Recreation office now through November 18 to let us know you are interested.  For more information contact the Recreation office at 860-285-1990.
