Flu Clinic 2005
Windsor’s Healthy People will be conducting two Flu and Pneumonia immunization clinics for Windsor residents in 2005. The first clinic will combine the annual flu and pneumonia immunization clinics and the Senior Health Fair. It will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This clinic is only open to Windsor residents 60 years of age and older. Flu and pneumonia shots will be available to these residents throughout the day after which, they can attend the Health Fair. We expect over 30 health care vendors to participate in the Health Fair.

Update on Dunfey Lane and Bloomfield Ave Property
I have met with the owners of the property at Dunfey Lane and Bloomfield Ave and conveyed to them directly the concerns that have been raised.

Specifically, I encouraged them to block off the Northern most entrance on Dunfey Lane in hopes to reduce the number of driveways that trucks could use. They stated they would look at that possibility but frankly I do not believe they will decide to close the drive.

The issue of driver visibility at the two driveways along Dunfey Lane was also discussed. Trimming of trees has not been completed and the owner will be asked to trim the trees and bushes to improve driver visibility.

It is my understanding that police officers during routine patrols are monitoring the rear portions of the property.

The Fire Marshall and Chief Building Official have inspected the property and prepared notices of violations relative to the condition of the vacant buildings. The owner will be given a reasonable period of time to initiate abatement of the violations. If no abatement activities are initiated within the timeframe then further enforcement actions will be taken.
