Update on Dunfey Lane and Bloomfield Ave Property
I have met with the owners of the property at Dunfey Lane
and Bloomfield Ave and conveyed to them directly the
concerns that have been raised.
Specifically, I encouraged them to block off the Northern
most entrance on Dunfey Lane in hopes to reduce the number
of driveways that trucks could use. They stated they would
look at that possibility but frankly I do not believe they
will decide to close the drive.
The issue of driver visibility at the two driveways along
Dunfey Lane was also discussed. Trimming of trees has not
been completed and the owner will be asked to trim the trees
and bushes to improve driver visibility.
It is my understanding that police officers during routine
patrols are monitoring the rear portions of the property.
The Fire Marshall and Chief Building Official have inspected
the property and prepared notices of violations relative to
the condition of the vacant buildings. The owner will be
given a reasonable period of time to initiate abatement of
the violations. If no abatement activities are initiated
within the timeframe then further enforcement actions will
be taken.
