Free Days at the Landfill

Windsor residents can enjoy free dumping privileges this Saturday May 7th and the following Saturday May 14th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the landfill. Accepted items include household garbage, scrap metal, used motor oil, batteries, brush, leaves clean fill and wood products. For more information call 285-1833.

 

Wild and Wooly Sheep Day

Join the flock Saturday May 14th at Northwest Park for Wild and Wooly Sheep Day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Learn what it takes to turn wool from fleece to fiber. See a working sheep dog demonstration and watch the sheep get sheared. Enjoy hands-on activities such as washing the wool, carding, spinning and dyeing. $3.00 per person or $9.00 per family. Celebrating 25 Years of Serving Children

This Saturday, May 7th, the Milo Peck Child Development Center will be hosting an open house from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in honor of their 25th anniversary. Entertainment, crafts and other activities will highlight the event. For more information call 285-1400.

 

Complete Budget Information On-Line

The Town of Windsor website contains complete information on the FY06 budget including our new tax calculator. Residents can simply enter their name into the calculator to view what the impact of the proposed budget will have on their tax bill. In addition, the complete budget document, changes made by the Town Council at last Wednesday’s meeting and polling locations are available on the site for residents as they prepare for the May 17th budget referendum.
