Addison Road/Day Hill Road Intersection Improvements

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has awarded a construction contract to Palazzo Construction, Inc. to perform the work at the Addison Road and Day Hill Road intersection in Windsor.  The work includes the realignment of Addison Road to a “T” intersection with Day Hill Road and the installation of a new traffic signal at that location.  Work is in progress and the contractor has until October 2006 to complete the project.  While Day Hill Road will be kept open in both directions at all times, travelers may experience some delays during this construction period through October.  For further information, contact Tom Lenehan, Town Engineer at 285-1804.

Library Update

The main library remains closed as library staff and more than 60 volunteers continue to re-shelve the books at the newly renovated facility.  In addition to the shelving efforts, furniture is being delivered and computers are being connected.  Although an exact re-opening date has not been set at this time, we anticipate opening in the vicinity of May 15 – 22.
