Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detection
Did you know that you can save lives by ensuring that you have proper carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. They should be in all bedrooms and on each floor. If they are battery powered, be sure to change the batteries when you change the clocks for daylight savings.

Make A Plan and Practice with your family or business
Create an evacuation plan with your family or business to show exits in case of fire or other emergency. Post the plan where everyone can see it and practice. If you find that there are problems trying to get out using those exits, fix the problem before an emergency. If you cannot get out the fire deptarment will have trouble getting in!

Hydrants
The fire department relies on access to fire hydrants to put out fires. If something is blocking a fire hydrant, like snow or clutter, it could delay the fire department's response and put several people at risk. Please be sure that all hydrants on your property and near your house are accessible to us. It could save lives!
