Notice to Contractors - Day Hill Road Reconstruction

Sealed bids for “DAY HILL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION - NORTHFIELD DRIVE TO MARSHALL PHELPS ROAD (State Project L164-004), WINDSOR, CT” will be received until 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Finance Office, Town Hall, 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT.  Bids for furnishing of materials, equipment, and labor for DAY HILL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION - NORTHFIELD DRIVE TO MARSHALL PHELPS ROAD (State Project L164-004), WINDSOR, CT will be opened and read in the Rose Room of the Town Hall immediately following the deadline.

 

Bids must be executed in accordance with and subject to instructions contained in the Information for Bidders.

 

The DAY HILL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION - NORTHFIELD DRIVE TO MARSHALL PHELPS ROAD (State Project L164-004), WINDSOR, CT project includes the roadway reconstruction of both the eastbound and westbound sides of Day Hill Road between intersecting streets, Marshall Phelps Road and Northfield Drive, a distance of approximately 2,150 linear feet.  The project will involve the removal of the existing curb and pavement and the resurfacing of the road with approximately 12” of new pavement with new curbing. Catch basin tops and manhole covers will also be replaced.  Other incidental construction will include the replacement of minor amounts of concrete sidewalks, ramps, and detectable warning strips as well as restoration of the medians and other disturbed areas.

 

Contract Documents may be obtained from the Town of Windsor Engineering Department located at 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT for a non-refundable fee in the amount of Seventy Five Dollars ($75.00).  Partial sets will not be issued.

 

Addendum #1 was issued on April 12, 2018.

 

The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive defects in same if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town of Windsor.

 

This contract is subject to state set-aside and compliance requirements.
